The premise is good, the story has potential, some of the descriptions of dealing with the illness, caring for, death and grief so profound as for a mother really put words to my feelings. I also lost my mother, not at such a young age, but a lot of the stuff she writes about while grieving really hit home- I've even underlined passages and was glad to have been at ome and not while commuting because Iwas crying. But the rest... is filled with quotes from other books (Mandela), plenty of pages with text just on half of the page, wasted space (or is it meant to signify the gap and emptyness you feel when grieving?...), photos. Such a shame, it could have been fleshed out more, more substance added, but maybe that would have made it pretentious, consideirng the author is still quite young.

Some say he’s half man half fish, others say he’s more of a seventy/thirty split. Either way he’s a fishy bastard.
